Another Democrat Senator With Zero Decorum

June 12, 2025

In response to the disrespectful, aggressive actions of Alex Padilla at the U.S. Homeland Security press conference, the Republican Party of New Mexico Chairwoman Amy Barela issued the following statement:

NEW MEXICO - “While the Mayor of Los Angeles institutes a curfew in downtown Los Angeles, Senator Alex Padilla continues to claim that the riots are peaceful; instead of engaging in cheap political theatre, he and his New Mexico Democrat colleagues should put an end to the manufactured outrage and dangerous rhetoric that has led to violence across the country - like the firebombing of the New Mexico Republican Party’s headquarters here in Albuquerque.”

Chairwoman, Republican Party of New Mexico
