Arizona GOP Demands Immediate Investigation into Senator Ortiz' Reckless Actions

August 6, 2025

PHOENIX, AZ - The Arizona Republican Party fully supports Senate President Warren Petersen’s referral for a federal investigation and Senator Jake Hoffman’s call for an immediate ethics committee hearing into Democrat Senator Analise Ortiz (D-Phoenix) for endangering law enforcement officers and Arizona residents by broadcasting ICE agents’ real-time locations.

“Senator Ortiz’ deliberate attempt to obstruct federal immigration enforcement by sharing sensitive operational details directly endangers our law enforcement officers and citizens,” stated AZGOP Chairwoman Gina Swoboda. “Her actions are reckless, unacceptable, and must face immediate accountability.”

Ortiz’ activism openly encourages suspects to flee or resist lawful arrest, compromising public safety and undermining the rule of law.

“Arizona voters demand safe communities and secure borders,” emphasized Swoboda. “Senator Ortiz must decide whether she stands with law-abiding citizens or with illegal aliens who threaten public safety and drain our state’s resources.”

Chairwoman Swoboda reinforced the AZGOP’s stance, stating, “We will uphold the rule of law regardless of Democrat obstruction. Senator Ortiz’s actions are not just irresponsible—they are dangerous and possibly illegal. An ethics investigation must proceed without delay.”

Attorney General Kris Mayes and Senator Ortiz must be held accountable for placing illegal aliens above Arizonans’ safety. The Arizona GOP insists on swift and decisive action to preserve law and order and protect the citizens of our state.
