AZGOP Redirects Election Night Party Funds to Support Candidates and Defeat Ranked Choice Voting Initiative

October 15, 2024

PHOENIX, AZ - The AZGOP continues to work tirelessly to ensure victory for President Donald Trump in Arizona, as well as to support our Senate and Congressional candidates, secure control of the Arizona Legislature, and defeat the disastrous Prop 140 Ranked Choice Voting initiative.

In the last three months, the AZGOP has raised an impressive $9 million to fund these critical efforts. In the last two weeks alone, we have provided direct assistance to Republican candidates in 22 different races across the state. This includes a targeted campaign to defend Arizona judges from a coordinated left-wing effort aimed at removing those who uphold the Constitution. Our judicial mail campaign is working to inform voters of the importance of retaining these constitutional judges on the bench.

Beyond our candidate support, the AZGOP has launched an extensive Get Out The Vote (GOTV) program statewide, focused on encouraging early voting among Republicans. All of our resources are being dedicated to helping our candidates win and preventing the far-left from gaining control of our state.

With so much at stake in this election, we’ve made the decision to forego an election night party this year. Instead of spending tens or even hundreds of thousands of dollars on a celebration, we are channeling every dollar directly into our candidates’ efforts. This includes boosting our mail campaigns, purchasing additional advertising to defeat Prop 140, and intensifying voter turnout initiatives.

“The stakes couldn’t be higher this year,” said Arizona Republican Party Chair Gina Swoboda. “We believe it’s more important to invest every resource we have into ensuring our candidates’ victories rather than hosting a party. It’s all hands on deck until Election Day, and we’re laser-focused on winning up and down the ballot.”
