CONCORD, NH - Thanks to Governor Ayotte’s leadership, the budget passed today protects critical services for Granite Staters with disabilities. It ensures continued funding for developmental disability services and makes sure there continues to be no waitlist for these programs.
Leaders in the disability community credited the Governor with standing firm throughout the budget process and rejecting proposals that would have drastically cut support for citizens with disabilities.
“We are proud that this budget protects services for Granite Staters with developmental disabilities, including ensuring there continues to be no waitlist,” said Janet Bamberg, President of The Moore Center, which provides services for those with developmental disabilities and acquired brain disorders in the Greater Manchester area. “The Governor stood firm through the budget process and fought cuts to critical programs. Thank you, Governor Ayotte, for standing up for New Hampshire’s developmental disability community and ensuring access to services for the most vulnerable in our state.
