November 12, 2024

FRANKFORT, KY - The following is a statement from Republican Party of Kentucky (RPK) Chairman Robert Benvenuti following the announcement that longtime party Executive Director Sarah Sarah Van Wallaghen will be departing to join the government relations firm The Rotunda Group.

“On behalf of the entire team at the Republican Party of Kentucky, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Sarah Van Wallaghen on her new role at the Rotunda Group. During her time as Executive Director, Kentucky Republicans achieved remarkable victories at every level of government, contributing directly to the economic success brought by the candidates she helped elect. Sarah has been highly remarkable in every aspect of her role as Executive Director. Without exception, and for the entirety of her tenure, Sarah put Party before self, leading with great intellect, unmatched work ethic, and unwavering commitment to the mission of the Party.

“I am profoundly grateful for her time as Executive Director and recognize the sacrifices made by Sarah and her family. Sarah has left an indelible mark on the Party and has had a profound effect on building a better Commonwealth for all Kentuckians. Sarah will be greatly missed. However, we’re excited to see her take on this new chapter with the Rotunda Group, where there is no doubt she will enjoy great success.”
