DC GOP Congratulates New RNC Chair Michael Whatley and Co-Chair Lara Trump

Washington, DC - Today, Michael Whatley, the head of the North Carolina Republican Party, was elected as the new Chairman of the Republican National Committee, and Lara Trump was elected as the Co-Chair. DC GOP Chairman Patrick Mara released the following statement.

“The DC GOP congratulates Michael Whatley on his election as the new Chairman of the Republican National Committee and Lara Trump on her election as the new Co-Chair. We are confident that this dynamic team is fully prepared to lead the charge in reclaiming the White House and Senate and increasing the majority in the House. We eagerly anticipate the opportunity to collaborate with them.”

He continued, “We would also like to express our deep gratitude for the exceptional leadership of Ronna McDaniel as Chairwoman and Drew McKissick as Co-Chair. Both have made significant contributions to our party, and we are truly grateful for their service.”

The DC Republican Party is comprised of registered Republicans living throughout the District of Columbia in all eight wards who are nominated and elected to serve as members. It is a state party with three elected members of the 168-member Republican National Committee.
