Governor Landry Sends Support to Texas

Baton Rouge - This weekend, Governor Jeff Landry sent 14 Swift Water Rescue personnel to Texas to assist in the ongoing flood response. The personnel is made up of the State Fire Marshal, Baton Rouge Fire Department, Zachary Fire Department, West Feliciana Fire Department, East Side Fire Department, and Task Force 3 from Shreveport. GOHSEP continues to monitor additional requests from the affected areas. Further support may be deployed if needed.

1 - NIMS Swiftwater/flood SAR Team Leader
3 - NIMS Swiftwater/flood SAR Technician- Boat Operator
3 - NIMS Swiftwater/flood SAR Technician- Boat Bowman
3 - NIMS Swiftwater/flood SAR Technician, Support Personnel
1 IMT/Plans
2 - State Fire Marshalls
