Iowa GOP Chair Statement on Far-Left Political Activist Announcing Campaign for Iowa's Second Congressional District

July 15, 2025

DES MOINES – Iowa GOP Chairman Jeff Kaufmann issued the following statement in response to far-left political activist Kathy Dolter announcing a campaign for U.S. House in Iowa’s Second Congressional District:

“Radical far-left political activist with Soros-ties, Kathy Dolter, is absolutely no match for America-first proven leader Congresswoman Ashley Hinson, who is working with President Trump to Make America Great Again.

We are confident that once Iowans get to know her, they will reject her just like Kevin Techau – that is if she doesn’t drop out first. Welcome to the big leagues, Kathy!”
