Kamala Harris: Championing Violent Criminals Over Law-Abiding Citizens

September 10, 2024

Kamala Harris’ dangerously liberal leadership is leaving Michigan families more unsafe than before.

Instead of protecting Michiganders, Harris has been a champion for the dangerous “defund the police” movement, praising the idea that less funding for law enforcement will somehow make our streets safer. She’s repeatedly called to “reimagine” law enforcement, pushing for fewer police on the streets and funneling taxpayer dollars into misguided community services. According to Harris, it’s “outdated” and “wrongheaded” to believe that more policing can reduce crime—ignoring the reality that families in Michigan are living in fear.

Harris doesn’t just talk, she walks the walk. As a senator, she applauded Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti’s reckless decision to slash $150 million from a planned increase to the city’s police budget saying, “We’ve got to reexamine what we’re doing with American taxpayer dollars.” Under her influence, violent crime surged, and now Los Angeles is scrambling to reverse course after years of dwindling police presence and rising chaos.

But that’s not all-Harris also supports eliminating cash bail, a radical policy that allows dangerous criminals to walk free. In 2017, she proudly introduced a bill to incentivize states to end cash bail and in 2019, bragged about being a “leader” in dismantling the system that kept repeat offenders off the streets. The Harris-Biden White House even doubled down on their call to end cash bail after American families faced unthinkable tragedies like the Waukesha Christmas parade.

Thanks to dangerous policies championed by Harris and her Democrat allies nationwide, evil criminals are being released, and Michigan families are paying the price. This is the future Harris envisions for our country—a future where lawlessness reigns and public safety takes a backseat. President Trump is the only candidate in this race who will restore law and order and make America safe again.
