On Saturday, May 31, 2025, the Oklahoma State Committee met in Oklahoma City at Higher Plain Baptist Church and conducted quarterly business.  Among that business under new business, a resolution to Repeal the FACE Act passed almost unanimously on a voice vote.  There were over 200 credentialed members present from all over the state.  This resolution was previously passed in several counties including McIntosh, Osage, and Washington.

The FACE Act has outlived original intent ‘ostensibly to protect abortion workers’ with the overturn of Roe v. Wade in June of 2022.  Recently it was further used abusively and disproportionately weaponized against non-violent first amendment protected activities and NOT utilized for acts of violence in recent years.  Sandra Crosnoe, the author of the resolution, said “I am so grateful to the State Committee for passing this resolution!  It is past time to repeal the FACE Act once and for all.  I urge our Congressmen and women to do so immediately.”

Resolved that the Oklahoma Republican Party urges our federally elected officials to Repeal the FACE Act and return the matter of safety of citizens fully and completely to the individual states and counties through their locally elected officials.
