Rhode Island Republican Party Chairman Joe Powers Announces Aiden Carey as New Executive Director

Warwick, RI - The Rhode Island Republican Party is pleased to announce the appointment of Aiden Carey as the new Executive Director, effective immediately. Aiden, a 2020 graduate of LaSalle Academy and a 2024 graduate of the College of the Holy Cross with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Political Science, focusing on political philosophy and theory, brings a wealth of energy, dedication, and fresh perspectives to the party.

Chairman Joe Powers expressed his enthusiasm for Aiden’s new role, citing his impressive track record within the party at such a young age. “Aiden has been a remarkable leader as the Chairman of the Lincoln Republican Town Committee, he was elected as a Member of the Budget Board from Lincoln in May 2024. He has also been involved in several grassroots campaign efforts, including advocating for greater government accountability through the creation of an Office of Inspector General . His work on the By-Laws Committee and as a key contributor to the AdHoc Messaging Committee has demonstrated his deep commitment and innovative approach to advancing our party’s goals,” said Chairman Powers.

“Aiden is truly a breath of fresh air,” Powers continued. “His passion, intellect, and tireless work ethic have already made a significant impact on our party’s direction, and I am confident that in his new role as Executive Director, he will continue to play a crucial role in the development and growth of the Rhode Island Republican Party. We are incredibly fortunate to have someone of Aiden’s caliber and drive helping to lead us into the future.”
