WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Representative Glenn “GT” Thompson today announced that Mr. Brady Bendik of State College, Pennsylvania, has accepted a fully-qualified appointment to the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, Maryland.
Bendik is a 2022 graduate of State College Area High School, and he is the son of Lori and Frank Bendik. Bendik comes from a long line of military service, with his father and brother graduating from the Naval Academy in 1990 and 2020, respectively.
“Brady’s well-rounded high school career will serve him well at the Academy. His commitment to academic achievement and athletic excellence are traits that will allow him to compete with the best and brightest students at the Naval Academy,” Rep. Thompson said. “Brady is a proven leader and I wish him the best in this next chapter.”
Not only has Brady excelled on the athletic field as a member of the State College Area High School baseball and football teams, but he is a leader in the classroom serving as his Freshman and Junior Class Vice President.
