MIDDLETOWN - The Connecticut Republican Party, led by Chairman Ben Proto, demands an immediate apology from State Senate Majority Leader Bob Duff (D-Norwalk) and calls on Connecticut Democrats to denounce the abhorrent comparison made in a recent video posted by Duff. The video equates former President Donald Trump to Hitler-a comparison that is not only deeply offensive but also trivializes the atrocities of the Holocaust and the suffering of its victims. This rhetoric dangerously distorts history and insults the memory of those who perished under the Nazi regime.

“In one of the most dishonest and disturbing political videos to date, Bob Duff blatantly and erroneously equates President Donald Trump to Hitler,” said Proto. “This video doesn’t just distort history; it shamelessly exploits the horrors of the Holocaust and desecrates the memory of its victims. Yet, Connecticut Democratic leaders remain silent in the face of similar recklessness. We need leaders willing to stand up against this toxic narrative, regardless of their party affiliation.”
