ALBANY - NYGOP Chair Ed Cox released the following statement:
“New York and the nation have spoken. Under the leadership of President Donald Trump, we have delivered a resounding victory for the future of our great country. New Yorkers have reelected at least seven of our hardworking, majority-making House members, including House GOP Conference Chairwoman Elise Stefanik.
“We have also broken Democrats’ disastrous super majority in the State Senate, so Republicans can now provide a real check on the radical progressives in Albany.
“This victory is not just a triumph for our party; it is a victory for hardworking families, for small businesses, for public safety, and for the rights of every American to live in a country that prioritizes opportunity and freedom over the failed policies of the radical left.
“From Long Island to the North Country to Western New York, voters sent a clear message: they’ve had enough of the chaos, the crushing taxes, the crime, out-of-control spending and the erosion of our rights. The people demanded change, and last night, Republicans delivered.
“I want to thank every candidate, every volunteer, and every supporter who believed in our mission and worked tirelessly to make last night a success. We have laid the foundation for a new golden age across the United States.
“The work begins now. Together, with President Trump back in the White House and a strengthened Republican presence in Washington and Albany, we will restore common sense, ensure accountability, and build a brighter future for generations to come.”
