Cox: Release Full Report on Mannion Harassment Complaint

September 3, 2024

ALBANY - NYGOP Chair Ed Cox released the following statement in response to a reports that Albany Democrats have quietly dismissed harassment claims against Democratic State Senator and Congressional candidate John Mannion:

“In the interest of transparency and accountability, I am calling for the immediate release of the full report on the harassment claims against State Senator and Congressional candidate John Mannion. The voters deserve to know the truth, and if Sen. Mannion has truly been cleared of any wrongdoing, there should be no reason to withhold the details of the investigation.

“Albany Democrats have a history of sweeping ethics and sexual harassment complaints against their members under the rug.  A cover-up of the Mannion complaint is consistent with this history. If he has nothing to hide, he should willingly make the full investigatory report public. Anything less raises serious concerns about what the Democratic Party may be trying to cover up. We owe it to the people of New York and the integrity of our democratic process to demand full transparency and disclosure.”
