Florida GOP Praises Senate Passage of President Trump's One, Big, Beautiful Bill

Calls on House to Swiftly Pass Historic Tax and Border Security Legislation

TALLAHASSEE, FL - The Republican Party of Florida is celebrating the Senate’s passage of President Donald J. Trump’s “One, Big, Beautiful Bill,” landmark legislation that delivers the largest tax cut in American history, enhances border and national security, and puts working Americans first.

Florida GOP Chairman Evan Power issued the following statement:

“President Trump promised to fight for working Americans – and the Senate has delivered. The One, Big, Beautiful Bill extends the Trump tax cuts, eliminates taxes on tips, and gives ICE the resources it needs to deport violent criminal illegal aliens. It’s bold, it’s smart, and it puts the American people before Washington politics.”

“I want to especially thank Senators Rick Scott and Ashley Moody for championing this legislation on behalf of Floridians. Their leadership was instrumental in getting this bill through the Senate.”

The bill not only extends the popular Trump-era tax cuts but includes a first-ever federal exemption on tipped income, protecting Florida’s hospitality and service workers from unfair taxation. It also provides critical funding for ICE agents to remove violent illegal criminals and strengthens border enforcement to combat the chaos unleashed by the Biden Administration’s failed open border policies.

“This bill is about protecting American families, securing our borders, and ensuring that hard work is rewarded – not punished by the IRS,” Power added. “Every Democrat voted against it, siding with tax hikes, open borders, and lawlessness. Floridians know better.”

The Florida GOP is urging the U.S. House of Representatives to act without delay and send the One, Big, Beautiful Bill to President Trump’s desk.
