Gov. Rhoden to Visit Lemmon on Open for Opportunity Tour

PIERRE, S.D. – On Monday, Governor Larry Rhoden will visit Lemmon on his Open for Opportunity tour. 

Governor Rhoden will tour the LemmonMade Butcher Shop. They have a comprehensive meat processing operation that includes slaughter, processing, and retail sales. During the Noem-Rhoden Administration, Rhoden worked to strengthen small meat processors in both his roles as Interim Secretary of Agriculture and the Governor’s Ag Ambassador. LemmonMade has also benefited from South Dakota’s strong apprenticeship program. 

Governor Rhoden will also visit Jon Lopez’s gallery, Kokomo. Jon Lopez’s incredible artwork is featured all across the state, including several life-sized bronze sculptures for Rapid City’s City of Presidents and three governor statues on the Trail of Governors in Pierre. 

Next, Governor Rhoden will interview with KBJM to share more about his tour. He will highlight the opportunities available in our great state and discuss the ways in which he is keeping South Dakota strong, safe, and free. 

CHS Southwest Grain is a valuable player in our ag industry, and the Governor will tour their facilities. 

To wrap up the day, Governor Rhoden will visit the Petrified Forest National Park. The natural beauty in South Dakota is unmatched, and our state offers countless opportunities to explore the great outdoors.
