Governor Reeves Sets Four Special Elections

JACKSON, MS - Governor Tate Reeves On July 7, 2025 announced that he has set four special elections. Two of the special elections are for the Mississippi Senate, one is for the Mississippi House of Representatives, and one is for Tax Collector/Assessor in Pearl River County.

The three special elections for Senate District 24 (Leflore, Panola, and Tallahatchie Counties), Senate District 26 (Hinds and Madison Counties), and House District 26 (Bolivar, Coahoma, and Sunflower Counties) will be held on November 4, 2025. The qualifying deadline for these elections is August 21, 2025.

The special election for the Tax Collector/Assessor in Pearl River County will also be held on November 4, 2025. This special election will be conducted only in the Picayune Southside 1 and Picayune 2 precincts, and the results of this special election will be added to the totals from the other 25 precincts, in accordance with the Findings of Fact and Conclusions of Law of the Circuit Court.
