Governor Sanders Participates in Special Olympics Arkansas' Ribbon Cutting at Their New Headquarters

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, AR - Governor Sanders delivered remarks and participated in the ribbon cutting at Special Olympics Arkansas’ new headquarters in North Little Rock. Governor Sanders previously attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the headquarters on July 10, 2024.
 
The Governor directed $3 million in state funding to assist Special Olympics Arkansas with the construction of their new facility. She has also supported Arkansans with disabilities through other initiatives including Education Freedom Accounts (EFAs), which were created by the LEARNS Act. In the first year EFAs were available, half of all participating students had a disability.
