Idaho! The monumental 2024 General Election has brought so many exciting developments for our nation and our great state! We managed to maintain our super majority in Idaho, winning three out of four very close legislative races. Republicans had a strong showing, winning across the ballot. Voting reached record highs in Idaho this election with very high turnouts in every county. Most importantly, we were able to secure Donald Trump as Commander in Chief. Federally, we also took the Senate, and with the results still coming in, it’s looking very promising for us to retain and grow our presence in the House.
A significant highlight of this election was the overwhelming rejection of Ranked Choice Voting by an impressive 69% of the voters. The influx of conservatives from California to Idaho helped tremendously in defeating this initiative. This decisive Prop 1 rejection was made possible thanks to the dedicated efforts of organizations like Secure Idaho Elections, Conservatives of, One Person One Vote, and the GOP County Central Committees to name just a few. These groups worked tirelessly to inform voters about this measure. This effort was truly grassroots, with hundreds of people getting involved to make a difference.
The list of organizations and individuals to thank is extensive, and the Idaho GOP is immensely grateful to everyone who contributed to this overwhelming victory. This achievement underscores the power of collective action within our state.
In addition to rejecting Ranked Choice Voting, Idaho also passed a state constitutional amendment to protect the vote from illegal interference by nearly the same margin as Prop 1. The people spoke loudly and clearly, demonstrating a unified voice once again. Idaho is committed to safeguarding the will of its citizens, ensuring election integrity, and sending a strong message to the nation: when Idahoans unite, there’s nothing we cannot accomplish.

The 2024 General Election has shown us the strength of our Republican party, unifying values, and the significance of every vote.
