MassGOP Statement on Entrance of Brian Shortsleeve Into 2026 Race for Governor

Boston, MA - Massachusetts Republican Party Chair Amy Carnevale responded to Monday’s announcement by Republican Brian Shortsleeve that he is entering the 2026 gubernatorial race.

“The MassGOP welcomes Brian Shortsleeve into the race for governor. Our growing field of strong gubernatorial candidates will give voters the best opportunity to choose who they want to prosecute the failures of the Healey-Driscoll administration.
