Mike Sapraicone Joins NYGOP as Senior Advisor to Chairman

July 10, 2025

ALBANY - The New York Republican Party today announced that Mike Sapraicone, respected public safety expert, businessman and recent U.S. Senate candidate, has joined the Party as Senior Advisor to Chairman Ed Cox.

A former NYPD detective and founder of one of the nation’s leading private security firms, Sapraicone brings decades of real-world leadership and a results-driven mindset to the NYGOP. As Senior Advisor, Sapraicone will work closely with Chairman Cox and his team to advance the Party’s fight for public safety and economic growth in New York.

“Mike Sapraicone is a force for good in this state,” said NYGOP Chairman Ed Cox. “His background in law enforcement, business and public service reflects the values of hard work and integrity that define the Republican Party. His voice, experience and energy will be invaluable as we continue building the infrastructure to win up and down the ballot in 2025, 2026 and beyond.”

“I’m honored to join Chairman Cox and the team at the NYGOP,” said Sapraicone. “New Yorkers are fed up with the decline of our state, marked by rising crime, failing schools and nation-leading outmigration. I’m ready to take the fight to Zohran Mamdani and Kathy Hochul and elect Republicans across New York.”
