NCGOP Hosts Family First Forum in Weaverville

On Thursday, September 5, the North Carolina Republican Party hosted a Family First Forum in Weaverville.

NCGOP Chairman Jason Simmons was joined by Ruth Smith, N.C. House District 115 candidate, and Rep. Jennifer Balkcom of Henderson County.

“Republicans in North Carolina have delivered for families to reduce their tax burden, focus on improving law and order, and deliver high-quality education options,” said Simmons following the event.

The discussion centered on economic issues along with public safety and the Biden-Harris rewrite of Title IX.

Later, Simmons attended a meeting with the Buncombe County GOP, where he spoke about the importance of contesting races in the county and encouraged the activists in attendance to remember to bring family, friends, and neighbors to vote.

The meeting included discussion election integrity, the constitutional amendment to ensure only citizens may vote in elections, and plans for the absentee and early in-person voting period.
