May 1, 2025

On May 01, 2025, the North Carolina Republican Party (NCGOP) submitted nominees to the N.C. State Board of Elections following the implementation of provisions in S382.

State law requires the State Auditor to appoint members from lists of nominees provided by the State party chair of each of the two political parties having the highest number of registered affiliates.

The nominees selected by State Auditor Dave Boliek are:

- Francis X. De Luca (New Hanover County)
- Robert A. Rucho (Catawba County)
- Stacy "Four" C. Eggers IV (Watauga County)

"We are pleased to have tremendous individuals serving on the State Board of Elections and thank everyone who expressed interest in these crucial positions. These board members will ensure North Carolinians have fair, free, honest, and transparent administration of elections," said NCGOP Chairman Jason Simmons.

The terms of the members begin May 1, 2025.
