NM Deserves Better U.S. Representatives

August 6, 2025

Let’s be clear: Gabe Vasquez’s town hall is yet another example of fearmongering that misleads the very New Mexicans who rely on Medicaid. The Biden administration’s bloated and mismanaged spending on Medicaid has allowed fraud, waste, and abuse to spiral out of control. The reforms Gabe is attacking are not “cuts” to vital services—they are necessary steps to clean up systemic abuse and strengthen  the longevity of Medicaid for those who rely on it.

Gabe Vasquez is using scare tactics to score cheap political points. While he claims to care about our working families, his record tells a different story:
- He voted to raise taxes by 22%-the largest tax hike in American history.
- He voted to kill 7 million jobs, gut the child tax credit, and strip over $150 billion from our military.
- He voted against over $100 billion in border security, and his open-border policies have directly endangered our communities.

Gabe’s voting record further damages the resources that Medicaid provides by overwhelming a system that was not prepared to handle a flood of illegal immigrants.  New Mexicans deserve a representative who prioritizes security, economic growth, and truthful governance.
President Trump has been fighting to restore accountability, rebuild the economy, and protect our communities. Gabe Vasquez’s plan is to obstruct President Trump’s beneficial policies at every turn.
