On Saturday, May 31, 2025, the Oklahoma State Committee met in Oklahoma City at Higher Plain Baptist Church and conducted quarterly business.  Among that business under new business, a resolution Denouncing the Atrocities of Communism and Promoting Anti-Communist Education in Oklahoma passed almost unanimously on a voice vote.  There were over 200 credentialed delegates present from all over the state.  This resolution was previously passed in several counties including Garvin, Hughes, McIntosh, Osage, Pittsburg, and Rogers.

Several of our members have lived and worked under communist regimes in the past and are working hard here to prevent that ideology taking foothold here as they know firsthand that they always seek to destabilize social order and undermine the foundations of Christian civilization.  The resolution gives a brief history lesson on the problems of communism globally.

It was resolved that the OKGOP:

   1.  Denounces communism and socialism in all its forms and opposes the implementation of socialist policies within the State of Oklahoma;

   2.  Urges Governor Kevin Stitt to Proclaim November 7th as Victims of Communism Day in Oklahoma to honor those who have suffered under communist regimes;

   3.  Calls upon State Superintendent Ryan Walters and Oklahoma State Department of Education to mandate age-appropriate and developmentally appropriate instruction in public schools and higher education institutions on the history and atrocities of communism, including guest lectures from survivors of communist oppression; and

   4.  Calls upon the Oklahoma Legislature to establish a Commission on the Study of Communism and Its Impact in Oklahoma, tasked with evaluating the feasibility of creating a Museum for the Victims of International Communism which will document both global and local communist subversion and its effects on American society.
