RPMN Chair Alex Plechash Blasts Ellsion's Radical Lawsuit Undermining Girls Sports

April 22, 2025

ST. PAUL - Minnesota Republican Party Chair Alex Plechash issued the following statement in response to Attorney General Keith Ellison’s lawsuit challenging federal protections for girls’ sports:

“Attorney General Ellison’s latest lawsuit isn’t just misguided - it’s dangerous. By siding with a radical political agenda over common sense and fairness, he is turning his back on Minnesota’s girls.

Every young woman deserves a level playing field and the opportunity to compete safely and fairly.

Instead, Ellison would rather weaponize taxpayer dollars to attack protections that keep girls’ sports competitive and secure.   Minnesotans deserve leaders who stand up for women - not ideologues who use our courts to erode their rights.”
