Statement From Chairwoman Moon Regarding Shooting in Minnesota

June 14, 2025

It is with great sadness that I learned of the shooting involving two Minnesota lawmakers early this morning. A state representative and her husband have been killed, while a state senator and his wife were seriously injured. We offer our condolences to the families and to all our fellow Americans in Minnesota, and we pray that the perpetrator of this horrific crime is swiftly brought to justice.

Americans of all political persuasions should feel safe standing up for their beliefs, without fear for their lives or the safety of their families. The Idaho Republican Party unequivocally condemns all forms of political violence, and we reject those who advocate or call for such violence.
