Statement From the RI Republican Party on the RI Democrat Delegation's Press Conference - 'They're Back at It: More of the Same Old, Same Old'

April 24, 2025

In response to the recent Anti-American Press Conference hosted by RI’s Democrat delegation, RI Republican Party Chairman Joe Powers issued the following statement:

“What we saw from the Democrat delegation was nothing more than a performance—fear-mongering, misinformation, and political spin dressed up as public service,” said Chairman Joe Powers. “They continue to blame President Trump and Republicans for a crisis their own party created through reckless spending, open-border policies, and foreign energy dependency.”

“It’s sad that Rhode Islanders only hear one side of the story—one that’s been embellished with lies, falsehoods, and half-truths. But the truth always wins. And when President Trump’s America First agenda is fully implemented, this country will be healthy, wealthy, safe, and great once again.”

“The Democrats may hope that Trump fails—but what they’re really hoping for is that America fails, too. Here’s the bad news for them: we won’t. The American people have made it clear—they’re done with career politicians who care more about viral clips than real results.”

“It’s time the Democrat delegation stopped chasing sound bites, stopped trying to be YouTube stars, stop singing the same song and started working for America instead of against it,” Powers concluded. “Enough grandstanding—get back to work.”
