CONCORD, NH - On June 26, 2025, Manchester Mayor Jay Ruais applauded Governor Ayotte fighting for Manchester in the state budget:
“Governor Ayotte promised to be a partner and advocate for Manchester from day one in the corner office. From historic bail reform, to successfully fighting against cuts to our Manchester schools, to securing a solution for our Group II first responders, she’s kept that promise. I thank Governor Ayotte for delivering for Manchester and all of New Hampshire.”
In addition to signing a law to fix our broken bail system earlier this year, Governor Ayotte fought back against drastic cuts in the state budget to Manchester schools and secured a better deal for Manchester first responders with a fix to Group II retirement.
