Following years of speculation among much of the GOP about President Biden's mental acuity and fitness for office, the rest of the world has seemingly acknowledged his decline. Included in such population is a surprising subset: the mainstream media, who have long served as both shield and sword for democratic administrations. Former NBC anchor Chuck Todd, an erstwhile apostle of Biden's, went so far as to accuse his previous team of setting the president up to fail with an early-cycle debate against candidate Trump. The alleged goal of such a conspiracy was to have the general public witness his deteriorated state and create momentum toward his replacement with an alternative candidate who had a greater chance of maintaining the seat. Of course, this otherwise flawless plan was foiled by his deeply unpopular replacement, Kamala Harris.
Todd's allegation comes the same week Senate Republicans begin an investigation into the timeline of Biden's cognitive decline, hoping to achieve clarity on who was actually managing the Oval Office. The core issue centers around executive authority and whether the president had stopped making autonomous decisions during his term. Additionally, Republicans hope to uncover the extent of any cover-up undertaken to perpetuate such fraud.
As more Democrats jump the sinking ship, Republicans will likely have more than enough damning testimony to raise serious concerns surrounding Biden's presidency, particularly regarding the use of his signature via auto-pen. An autopen reproduces an individual signature, not through stamping or embossing, but by using machinery that actually glides a writing utensil along the exact path of the original version. While presidents as far back as Thomas Jefferson have utilized the instrument, it was contemporary Commander-in-Chief Barack Obama who first used it to sign legislation into law in 2011, much to the chagrin of his Republican colleagues, who foresaw the slippery slope. Just over a decade later, the Heritage Foundation's Oversight Project has boldly claimed nearly every single piece of legislation signed under Biden was done with an auto-pen, grossly violating both historical precedent and common sense regarding how a President should lead.
As American’s witness Trump's historically active second term, it will provide stark contrast with congressional findings regarding Biden’s Potemkin presidency. Our nation deserves to know for whom they are voting and who is in charge at every step. A party elevating a figurehead to present as an idealized leader and using them to attract votes so that shadowy figures can influence American democracy, is unconstitutional. The fact that they're pawn was an elderly man in questionable health is immoral. All action taken by the democratic administration should be reviewed, and any necessary steps taken to walk back such disingenuous “leadership.”
How do you feel about the decline in President Biden's mental fitness during his term in office? Should legislation passed by his administration be reexamined or undone?
