Gov. Gianforte Praises Trump's Nomination of Bill Mercer

HELENA, MT - Governor Greg Gianforte on July 30 praised President Donald J. Trump’s nomination of Bill Mercer to serve as a U.S. District Court Judge for the District of Montana.

“President Trump has made a strong decision in nominating Bill Mercer to serve as a District Court Judge for the District of Montana. With Bill’s distinguished legal career and his life-long commitment to public service, I’m proud to support his nomination. Given his experience in the Montana House of Representatives, I have faith that Bill will serve Montana well and apply the Constitution as our Founders intended. I urge the Senate to swiftly confirm him to serve Montana in this new capacity.”  

Earlier today, U.S. Senator Steve Daines introduced Mercer at his nomination hearing before the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee.
