Martin Heinrich: Out of Touch with New Mexico

September 18, 2024

ALBUQUERQUE - Democratic Senator Martin Heinrich’s voting record shows a clear pattern of support for radical progressive policies that are out-of-touch with the values of New Mexico. Heinrich has consistently aligned himself with Washington elites, voting 98.77% of the time with President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris-including 100% in 2023 and 2024.

“Martin Heinrich’s voting record speaks for itself,” said Republican Party of New Mexico Executive Director, Leticia Muñoz. “Instead of representing the values of New Mexico, he’s in lockstep with the Biden-Harris administration’s extreme, far-left agenda that hurts New Mexican families.”

One of the most dangerous aspects of Heinrich’s platform is his support for Medicare for All-a plan that would eliminate private health insurance for millions of Americans, including thousands of New Mexicans. If enacted, this policy would force people off their current healthcare plans, leaving them with fewer choices and worse outcomes.

“Martin Heinrich stopped caring about New Mexico long ago when he discovered he could line his pockets by voting against the best interests of his state,” said Muñoz. “Heinrich and Kamala Harris are two radical peas in a pod. Both have never delivered real results and if elected, New Mexicans will be kicked off their private insurance plans, given limited choices, and higher costs. New Mexicans simply cannot afford the out-of-touch Harris-Heinrich agenda.”
